1969
the story

Perhaps no year in popular culture changed the face of music like 1969. From the Fillmore to Woodstock to Altamont, the musical revolution could be heard in the performances of a virtual army of influential rock icons.

You’ve probably heard many tribute acts of this essential era, but 1969 takes a closer look at all these classic songs in a way that's never been done before. The angle is so different that You better prepare yourself for a big surprise. Today three exciting lead vocalists and a blistering rhythm section breathe new life into the songs made famous by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Joe Cocker, Jefferson Airplane and so many other stars of the psychedelic era.

1969 takes You on a trip. It acts like a time machine. In a single moment You will find Yourself attending a vintage performance. You will be in a place where time stands still. Just You and hundreds of fellow music lovers without a care in the world. And the tunes that made rock and roll – classic songs by the greatest artists of our time. This he told me...

"I just wanted to drop you a little note and let you know that I have heard nothing but rave reviews about 1969! Silver Cross has been doing this event for 30 years, and they said that this was the best weekend they ever had. 1969 was a huge part of this success so thank you once again. The guests that were dancing on the stage were actually members of the executive board, so that is extra kudos to you. I have also heard specific compliments on the female vocalist and her talent and energy".

"Yep, we were at your show, and the comedy show that preceded it. I went there with a friend from Arlington Heights and another from Aurora, and we all had a blast! Your band is tight (tight in both the 60's sense, as well as in modern day terminology). My friend from Aurora is a bass player, and of course I'm a keyboardist. We were both impressed by your band's versatility in vocalists, as well as the technical chops of the lead guitarist and of yours as the keyboardist. And of course the whole shtick you guys have got going with the 60's theme made the whole evening a lot of fun and so nostalgic. I'll keep my eyes on your band's schedule, because I would definitely love to see you guys again. And I've told all of my friends in Chicago to go see you guys and guaranteed that they would not be disappointed. In the meantime, should you or your band come out my way to St. Louis, by all means email me to let me know."

"Dear 69 band,
My husband & I saw you at The Iron Horse Social Club in Savannah, Ill. in the summer of 2007. You guys rocked! I was up singing and playing the tamborine with the lead female singer and it was one of the most memorable music experiences of my life! We were so hoping that you would be back there this past summer but we never did run into you. I would love to see your performance again and hope that your still playing and would like to know a schedule of your upcoming events. HAPPY NEW YEAR & I'll look forward to hearing from you."
